i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the gender of public art and/or graffiti. i want to find out if there are any examples of particular macho art that socially excludes women.

I enter public art competitions and find winners pretty equally divided between male and female. As far as graffiti, what an interesting idea that perhaps mostly accomplished by men. In thinking, have never known, seen or heard of a female graffiti artist but don't believe it's because women are socially excluded. As an aside, when I travelled around Germany saw the most powerful graffiti I've ever seen.
You've asked the question for a reason. Your thoughts?
