I would like to know which are the oldest bars in San Francisco. I believe The Saloon at Grant and Fresno is the oldest My teacher tells me that it is a controversy. Which one then is the second oldest?

Answers

I have heard that The Little Shamrock at 9th Ave & Lincoln is the second oldest bar (perhaps continuously operated under the same name). While it may seem an odd location for the 2nd oldest, they say it was established for the laborers who created GG Park. I have not verified any of this, however.
