At forty years of age, Edgar Allan Poe, the master of horror fiction and the father of the detective whodunnit story was dead at Washington University Hospital of Baltimore on October 7, 1849.Some claims him as a victim of alcohol while other evidences point out to cold blooded murder that up to now remains a mystery.
