2002 F4 for salvagegreenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
Greeting again all....I had my 02 F4 (with Casoli pipes and chip) stollen and recovered a few weeks ago. Insurance company totalled it out. Damage includes left side plastics, front end plastics, and front fork, as well as a couple other little parts (clutch handle, bar- ends, etc...). My insurance company has offered to sell me the salvage rights for $5000 even. Anyone interested in this bike? I will sell to you for $5500 (not looking to make big $$ on the deal, but just enough to cover towing, etc... Anyone interested let me know. I can email you pics. Pipes are totally undamaged!!! Bike was bought NEW from dealer in April 2004 and has less than 4000 miles on it. Garage kept, dealer serviced. I am located in Miami, FL. I only have 48 hours to notify my insurance company if I want the bike, otherwise they are going to auction it....so contact me immediately if you want it. I have a BlackBerry, so I will get all responses immediately and get back to you to answer questions. Why not just buy the salvage myself and part it out? Two reasons: First, it's just a pain in the ass....and second, I am not mechanically inclined, don't have tools, etc. Not interested in complicating my life, but thought some person on the list might be interested. I am relatively well know on this group...have done business with several people......references are available.
Respond quickly if interested.

Your own ins. Co. wants 5 large! That doen't sound right, most insurace companies have a contract with bike salvage shops and sell most bikes for a set price ( way less that 5000 ) even if it is a MV. You say the forks are damaged, in what way , scratches or bent tubes. Goodluck; Steve.

Don't know specifics about the fork damage (not exactly mechanically inclined), just that they said they need to be replaced to restore bike to "new condition".D
