Why is South Indian Classical Music called as Carnatic Music? Is it because it originated in Karnataka?

NO MADAM.MISS ANITHA GARU ACCORDING TO ELDERS WHO KNOWN SANSKRIT.
I SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION
SOUTH INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC IS CALLED CARNATIC CLASSICAL MUSIC BECAUSE THE WORD CARNATIC DERIVED FROM SANSKRIT . THE SENTENCE IS "kARNOU ATATHEETHI CARNATAKAHA" IT MEANS THE MUSIC OR NOTES WHICH IS ALWAYS PLAYED IN EARS. IN OTHER WORDS THE MUSIC WHICH IS SWEET AND PLEASING (TO HEAR) AND (TO EARS). HAVE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE ANSWER ? DO YOU ACCEPT IT ? THANKYOU.
