The Second Coming of Jesus Christgreenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread |
I heard Billy Graham say that the events that are happening in Israel, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan are an indication that the second coming of Jesus Christ is near. He then stated that he believed that there was nothing that could delay the second coming of Jesus. I have also heard that there were more prophetic scriptures about the second coming than about the first coming. Can anybody out there cite all the scriptures related to the second coming?

I will amend this, but I had to answer it before I left the house.Ezekiel 38 and 39 speak of a war that has not occurred and the clean- up after the war.
The basic scenario is this: Russia (Magog) backs Iran (Persia) against Israel. An accident occurs prior to the "firing of the arrows" (which, if you look at the Hebrew for "arrow" would translate into our definition of a "missile"). The carnage is so bad that a) the survivors will not need wood for fuel/cooking, because the leftover weapons will provide energy for 7 years, and b) professional people will be employed to remove the bodies.
About 6 years ago, the U.S. "discovered" that Russia has already sold Iran 2.8 Billion in nuclear technology and planes. Today, Iran "promises" us that they will not use their reactor for WMD.
Revelations speaks of the Mark of the Beast. Check out the stock ticker ADSX. The company makes an implantable device that can carry all of your financial/medical information. It is powered by body heat. The two best places? Your right hand or your forehead.
It's time to quit playing, church (and playing church); Jesus is coming back REAL SOON!

Jesus warned the Jews if they take what is not theirs but Israel's, Jerusalem will become a cup of trembling. There will never be peace.Daniels 2520 days corresponds with Math 24, that Jerusalem will be under Gentile rule and then when it is return to the rightful holders (Israel) it will signal the beginning of the end. Nebuchadnezzar was the first Gentile to rule and 2520 yrs late in 1917 Jerusalem fell under Israel again.
The Bible give a detailed description of an atomic war: - people people alive while their skin melts from their bones. Zech 14:12 and
You must remember we must enter a time when God's people wil feel theat they have all the power and abuse it for their own use, instead of the Kingdom values of caring and sharing. When they have been quite embarrassed and about to lose the war. Christ will step in to show He alone has all power
Some Jews will start believing and accept the faith practiced by Israel
Math 12:39 - although John clearly refers to miracles as a sign (to prove that Jesus is the Messiah) people will in later days seek miracles (to prove what? the time of ignorance is past, we don't need no miracles to prove Jesus is the Messiah, we operate on faith)
From the time John preached about the Kingdom, evil men tried to take it by force - people will only flock to countries that has the Bible as its law and standards (though these countries do not fully practice what God demands) Matth 11:12
just a few examples

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,I had the good pleasure to address a Christian men's group of about 50 men, a couple of months ago where I posed the following question... "How many of you believe that you will see Jesus coming on the clouds as described in Scripture -- in your lifetime?" Care to guess what percentage of them believed they would? What do you think?
God Bless You!
Jesus is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas!
In Christ,
Ron.
