Some News From Morris Browngreenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread |
I have just returned from the Annual Christmas Concert of Morris Brown College Concert Choir, presented by the Morris Brown Club of Atlanta’s Saint Mark A.M.E. Church. The choir sang traditional carols, ethnic carols and original carols composed by faculty and students of Morris Brown. The concert was concluded with excerpts from Handel's Messiah, which the choir has now done consistently for more than 40 years, with Alumni joining in the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus and the singing of the Alma Mater at the close of this event. Once again this year the choir was wonderful.
The Morris Brown Choir will also be featured in the presentation of the following events:

To paraphrase a note in this evening’s program from the Pastor of Saint Mark A.M.E. Church, Advent is the season of expectation of wonderful things to come. We expect great and wonderful things yet to come from Dear Ole Morris Brown.
