First Look: Billet Aluminum Reservoir Covers for the MV F4greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
One cool thing about being in the biz is that I get a lot of cool freebies for evaluation... These arrived from a manufacturer in the UK earlier today... Billet Aluminum Reservoir Covers for the MV F4. I would imagine that they will fit the Brutale as well. While the pair came with stainless steel screws, I didn’t have the right hex to use them so I quickly installed these with the factory screws. No idea on pricing, but they say they will be available in a variety of colors. Red, Black, Silver, Gold...
Opinions? I kinda like them although I personally would prefer Silver to match my Ferrachi risers.... What say ye? Interest? Apathy? Indifferent? Wet?

Jerry,I like them. I'm sure they will look sharp with matching screws. Getting wet with thoughts for mine. Gold to match Ago theme. Tell me when they arrive.

Iain.... At this point, I don't even know if they are in production. I received these with a note to try them for fit and to give them my opinion... They are produced by Oberon Engineering in Hampshire. We have been buying footpegs from them for years.. Always top notch product..They may or may not sell to the public, but if I were you.. I'd also try to get them locally to save on shipping, customs, etc..

Jerry,Pics look GREAT in red. I think you should get a # from us interested, a price for us , keep it simple on the color (red/silver), and get this handled ASAP. Espec. for us USA guys.
I'm in for a set of red.

I'd go for a set of red, assuming that it matches the red paint of the Brutale. The red on these covers look a little too much towards a wine red, as opposed to the candy apple red of the Brutale.

OK.. Here's the deal.. I was finally contacted by the manufacturer yesterday.. They first said that they'd be around $110US a pair after shipping.. I was honest with them and told them that was simply too much ...a deal breaker.Heard back from them today with "revised" pricing. Looks like we'll have them at a still high $92 a pair but that includes shipping in the US and that's with very little profit margin. They are set to go into production in early December and I have ordered a few pair of Red, Silver, Blue, Black, Gold caps as I have no idea what MV riders will want. If anyone is interested and wants me to notify you when I have them in my grubby little hands... just e-mail me directly.
FYI.. I will NOT take pre-payments nor is this a waiting list.. I'll simply notify you when they come in and give you first shot at a pair before we offer them to the masses... 100% up to you..
Please excuse the capitalistic moment... I posted this because you guys asked..
