I got a can of new herbal tea from a friend as gift when I travelled to Beijing in September. The name of the tea is Long Xu Jiao Gu Lan Cha ( Fiveleaf Gynostemma Herb Tea)

This dragon whisker twisted thread tea is made from a plant grown in mountains in the Taihu district of Anhui Province in southern China,fiveleaf Gynostemma Herb, Herba Gynostemmatis Pentaphylli

This tea looks like dried grass clippings, thread like, very thin threads, twisted together

In boiled water, the tea leaves are greenish, the tea has a herbal scent, taste slightly bitter at the beginning, then turned mildly sweet at the end

Long Xu Jiao Gu Lan Tea is a healthy herbal tea, it contains eighteen amino acids and about fifty other benifitial ingrediants, hence dubbed as "southern ginseng", and "The queen tea of health and beauty"
