I recdently made a data cd containing a video to play on my computer, and the audio is delayed by a few seconds when i try to watch it on my computer. why?

There is not enough information to answer this question. If you made SVCD, it's probably because your bit rate is too high. If you made a DivX file (I suspect this is what you did), there could be a number of causes. http://www.dvdrhelp.com and http://www.doom9.net both have forums for DivX that might help you.
