Dear folks, particularly those from California/First AME Church

I am a text book researcher by profession. I cannot publicly reveal which textbook right now because it is currently in the "production" phase. But I just thought you'd like to know that a major textbook publisher has included Bridget Mason as a "California hero" in several grades/units of their textbook. As one of the researchers, I had to let them know that she was commonly referred to Bridget "Biddy" Mason. Also, the writers knew that she founded "the first church for African American's in Los Angeles" but they were not sure of the name of the church. I also corrected them and let them know that it was First African Methodist Episcopal Church, or "First AME Church", as it is affectionately called. And, no, this is not an "African American" textbook company. So all you parents and educators, be on the lookout.
