Cops at partiesgreenspun.com : LUSENET : North Carolina Raves : One Thread |
Is it true that if you come across someone you suspect is a cop at a rave, and you ask them if they are a cop, that they have to tell you the truth? I heard that from someone but I didn't know if it was true. Thanks to anyone who knows and responds!

The answer is No. Its an urban legend, any police officer that is undercover/off duty/or even on duty does not have to identify himself as an officer unless he is making an arrest. At which time an arrest/ attempted arrest(such as he is chasing you) he must identify himself as an officer of the law.Interesting post here I see no flaming for this one question unlike all the other posts with questions... you guys are slacking

Not a bad question! Not positive on your laws, but I'll tell ya, if you can't spot a pig at a rave, you must have the sight of Ray Charles (RIP) Over here in Australia, they don't have to tell you shit, not that they really even bother going to them here, but I'm sure anywhere in the world, if they're undercover, you'd think they kinda wouldn't want to answer that one :-) A tip though, they're the dicks with the Hawaiian shirts on! Obvious as tits on a bull! Spit in their face and tell them to fuck off and catch some real criminals! Sorry, bin a touchy subject for me as you can see! Have a good one!
