My family is leaving for Birmingham, Alabama today for a planned Labaor Day trip. Hurricane Frances may delay our return until Monday night. If the major highays are converted to one-lane roads going north and I-10 is closed going east, I'll have another extention to my mini-vacation. Thanks for the concerns. This may be the BIG year of hurricane activity that forecasters have been talking about for the past 3-4 years. I have often wondered why scientists haven't figured out a way to covert the energy of hurricanes into something for humanitarian purposes when they are in their nascent development in the Atlantic. A Nobel Prize is awaiting a skilled and clever scientist to solve this puzzle. I wouldn't be opposed to taking creative military action against the storm either. Afterall, these storms do present themselves as a direct threat to human life. QED

Bill, In spite of the inconvenience cause me and you by the storms, may I suggest that the storms does have a humanitarian purpose; we just don't know what it is right now. After all, the eternal God designed the system specifically for humans. We have learned from hard experience that when we "mess" with the system by eliminating certian obnoxious species and then discovering their true purpose within the system. Be Blessed
