Sour Dough Recipe request.....greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread |
I have a great sour dough starter and am making possibly the best bread I ever have. Now I'd like to branch out and try other sour dough recipes...biscuits, pancakes, waffles etc. Does anyone have a favorite winner sour dough recipe they could share with me. I'm finding that using sour dough is a savings since its a one time addition of yeast rather than 2 or 3 tablespoons for evry batch of bread! Its soooo goood!! Am I braggin' too much? I'm just so proud of myself! sorry! :o)

Noooo...but if you get any good ones, you can pass this along this way! A lady on another forum gave me a couple of recipes for starter - I just haven't found the time to start it!

I have had my sour dough starter since 1987 and it came from my fathers, his came from my grandfathers and gramps got his from his mother. We figured that our sourdough starters were "born" around 1890 or so :>)

Don't eat any bread around here anymore, although the girls sometimes buy a loaf and hide it in Lotus's apartment so Bren and I dont have to look at it!
