In the midst of war in Iraq and same sex marriages in America. What are your thoughts before GC2004.

Nalton -If the AMEC does not address and resolve the issues of fiscal reform, Episcopal District realignment and African self-determination the 2004 GC will be in my opinion a colossal failure. It will be just as dressing as the war in Iraq and the debate about same sex marriages. QED

Something that's also 'distressing' is my inability at times to misspell words :-) The correct word in my 2nd sentence should be distressing not dressing. How much would it cost to have a spell check feature on this BB? QED

The AME Church must take a firm stand on these issues at the GC 2004. The church must use the pure Word of God and the Holy Spirt as a guide and apply them to their decisions about the issues stated by Brother Brangman.

Spell-check wouldn't have caught that one, Bill. "Dressing" is a legal word. :-)I agree - the budget is most important. I regret that the system is so entrenched, that we may not hear the clarion cry for major reform.
And if there are 17 African Episcopal Candidates, could someone please send me the list so I can update the table one final time before GenCon? I think I only have 6.
Thanks,
