What happened in Nashville at the connectional music elections. I thought Rev Sylvester Laudermill went unopposed and came back defeated. Please give us some insight.

I was at the MCE Meetings a few weeks ago and the new Connectional Music Director is Willie Williams from the 11th District. I don't know the details of his election only that he is the new Music Director. QED

Does anyone know the role of the Connectional Music director? I'm just curious. To coordinate music for the General Conference? Who elected/elects the connectional music director???
