Trying to locate ancestors that were from Montgomery County, N.C. Henry Wade Byrd and his parents. Henry married Martha Thompson, they had two children Elizabeth Fransis, and Thomas Calvin.Henry died in the civil war in 1863.Have not been able to find anything on him or his parents, would love to her from anyone with information. This may not be too helpful, but Thomas Calvin Byrd was my great- grandfather. He, of course married Martha Harris. I do not know his fathers ancestors but my brother has done some searching on this subject.I have his picture seated with Martha Harris and all of their children taken in May of 1925 at a reunion. There are a couple of cemeteries in the woods of Montgomery County that contain Thompson family members. Our heritage is from the Byrds, Thompsons, and Harrises. Would like to hear from you if you find anything else.
