hello, i am an ardent lover of this form of music.recently i had a tussle with a friend regarding the place of origin of this mesmerising form of music.i say it originated from the ancient region Carnatic.but my friend disagrees with me.he says it originated from the present region of Karnataka.please clarify this doubt so that i have peace of mind
