Bunny's gone

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

She passed the other night. It was a blessing because I was hand feeding her wet bread and she didn't have much stregth left. She still would pick up her head and look at me whenever I passed the cage or stopped to look in on her and visit for a while, talking to me by grinding her teeth.

Glenn was upset that she died. I reminded him that he complained she was inside in the first place and he said he got used to her. Go figure.

Dee, I'm so sorry to hear about your bunny. I know this has been hard on you.

I'm sorry, Dee.

I know exactly how you feel, Dee. So, so sorry!!! I had a cat once who was slowly dying from FELV and I tried so hard to keep him alive...from force feeding to injecting fluids for dehydration. I knew his death was inevitable, but you just can't help but try!!! And we all know that you did your best!

Hugs from here too, Dee. I think most of us can relate to the stress, frustration and sadness of tending a dying animal. Lord knows I did my share of it, and it's always a terrible ordeal. It's nice to hear your bunny ended up touching the tough guy's heart too.

Sorry Dee. If you were close, I'd catch one of the bunnies that likes to run in front of me when I walk down the drive and give it to you. They're almost like pets.

Wildman, (sorry)
