i wanna to ask u a question, how can i make a VCD & also MP3 Disk in the same time, cause i have some vedio files and sound files and i hope that if i can put them in one cd to work in the VCD & MP3 playear in the same time, which mean that i can chosse the vcd tracks or mp3 tracks from the same playear. i hope if u can reply me via my email address.

Easiest way to do that would be get a VCD making program that will write the files for later burning, and add a directory (called MP3 or something, whatever you like,) add the MP3s to it and burn the disk.

I don't know how loose the VCD specification is, i.e. will a VCD player ignore any directories that it doesn't know about, but it's worth a try and will only cost a CD. For the most part, DVD players seem to ignore any directories other than AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS, so the VCD may do the same.

The only down side to this is that most DVD and VCD players also play MP3 files, so it may get confused to find both types on one disk, or ignore the MP3 altogether.

The reply from Bryan won't work because if you add a directory to a VCD, the player will recognize that the disc is a VCD and it will never allow you to play the MP3 files in that directory. Once a disc has been identified as either MP3 or VCD, the player will never check to see if other file types are present. If you made the disc so that the MP3s would play, the player wouldn't be able to recognize the VCD files. Sorry, but you can't do what you want. You will need separate discs. You could convert your MP3 files to MPEG-1 layer II audio (the format for VCD) and make a VCD with your video files and these audio files. That would work. VCDeasy (http://www.vcdeasy.org) can help you to do this. I've never done it, but it is possible. You will lose some audio quality by converting MP3 to MPEG-1 layer II audio. You could use a program like BeSweet GUI (http://www.doom9.net in the Downloads section) to convert the MP3 files.
