I know for a fact that Edgar Allen Poe died of someone not liking the way he wrote so he either commited he suicide by hanging himself in his basement with barbwire or somebody took a hatchet and lodged it into his brain. Then they chopped him into peices and fed him to their dogs. Another possibility was that he was a gang banger and got shot when trying to steal eggs at circle k.

Poe died from "alcoholic poising". However, some people believe that he was diabetic. At the time that Poe lived, diabetes was an unknown decease. Havung a very low blood sugar often made the person with diabetes seem drunk and confused. Poe may have seemed drunk and confused before he died in the hospital, but it was more than likely not caused by too much alcohol, but by a low blood sugar caused by diabetes. So in essence, Poe died from an extremly low blood sugar caused by the then unknown disease of diabetes.

No one is absolutely sure what happened to Poe when he was found barely living, lieing on the side of the street, no autopsy was performed on him in the hospital he was taken to. But he could not have killed himself, even of poisoning because he was found on the street Oct. 3rd and died in the hospital Oct. 7th.

I've been told by 2 teachers that the "congestion of the brain." was an aneurysm. He didn't not die from that though. He was presumed dead during a coma, which he awoke from after being buried. This proven by the fact that he had changed postitions and had his hands up trying scratch his way out when the casket was later opened.

No one knows how Edgar Allan Poe died. His death was a mystery. Some people say he died from alcoholism and of rabies. He was found on the side of the street in Baltimore in a gutter he was turned up in delirious condition. Poe was in a comma at the hospital. He woke up 2 days into his comma on the 3rd day he died in his hospital bed.

Come on people, found lying on the street? he was a known alcoholic. He obviously was trying out the new jack daniels in the local tavern. Got fucked up and bumped into the wall and lamp posts, fell into the gutter, which explains the bruises, and then passed out with the bottle still drip feeding in his mouth. Got alcohol poisoning and caught a cold at the same time from runnin around naked at night, which drunk people do, the cold turned into pnemonia and he died days later. The people walking by paid no attention to the transit, they just accidently put his boxers on backwards. He woke up and thought 'my sweet cherry's popped' I dont wanna live no more and then maybe killed himself.

Please pple "pnemonia is when your lungs fill with water" that's called drowning. There are many theories about his death.
