Yesterday, we celebrated Founder's Day. The General Theme for the Fifteenth Episcopal District, (Bishop Gregory GM Ingram, Presiding)was HOPE, HARVEST and HOMECOMING. Scripture Lesson: Luke 15:11-32. What a celebration it was - second to none at THE CATHEDRAL OF VINTON ANDERSON AME CHURCH, EERSTE RIVER in the Cape Annual Conference! We baptized five (5)infants, given special certificates to three (3)people joining the church on Founder's Day and thirteen (13)young people joined and started their preparation in the new members class for full AME Church membership! Surely, we praise God for His favour on our congregation. Almost 300 persons witnessed these celbrations.

We have taken photos ( as soon as it becomes available, I will forward them for posible publication to the AME Herald.

The Fourth District's celebration was nice. It was held in Detroit. St. Peter AME Church was the host, where Rev. Ann Henning- Byfield is the pastor. Bishop Richard Allen-Chapelle preached and the 4th District Choir "jammed". It was a good time of fellowship. God bless.

I'm sorry, the 4th District host church was St. Paul-Detroit. When the celebrations are held in hotels, it is hard to keep track of who's hosting. Be Blessed!

What a joyous Homecoming and Founders Day Celebration we have experienced at Hunter Temple, Paarl, South Africa. The church was packed to capacity with members and visitors. What made this service so special is that we have had a blessed Week of Prayer proceeding the Homecoming Service. Our theme for the Week of Prayer was: " Sower, Seed, Soil and Harvest". The sermon topic for the Homecoming Service was: " Are you a prisoner of your freedom?" We praise God for six new members who joined the church and six prodical members who returned home and rededicated themselves to the Lord and His church. Furthermore, Hunter Temple was blessed to be able to serve lunch to 220 people after the Worship service. We thank God for the vision of Bishop Gregory G.M. Ingram to introduce the Homecoming celebration. Join us in Thanksgiving and Praise unto the Lord for blessing and using Hunter Temple as we celebrate 21 years of service and ministry to the people in Paarl. The Lord's Name be praised.
