I have various avi files on my syetem (win98SE) and windows media player 9 will play them if I open media player first and run the file from the menu, HOWEVER, when I double-click on the file in windows explorer, nothing seems to happen (ctrl-alt-delete shows media player running in the background)

Is there a way to reset the file associations or is this a new problem?
