Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Rev. Felicia Faye Long is no doubt a blesing that flows from God and truly an angel sent from God. I pray that the work God has sent her to put into action will continue in God's Will, covered in the blood of Jesus, and powered under the unction of the Holy Spirit. May the sister's and brothers and mothers and father's and all of God's family in Christ be encouraged and strengthened with the power of God's might. We will understand God's Will better by and by. Let us all be comforted and filled with power, as our cups empty may they be filled with the Holy Spirit. As God lives and dwells within each one of us Rev. Felicia Faye Long will be with us also. My love, prayers go out for all of Rev. Long's family and extended families and friends.

Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and evermore. Amen

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.

In Christ I am, Sis. Ellen L. Woodall

I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was truly sadden when I heard about the passing of Rev. Long. She preached at my church new commandment formally on Borman Ave. now on Lafayette and Calhoun St. She truly was a Woman of God and I really enjoyed her preaching. It really inspired me. I will truly miss her, but I know that she will be in our hearts. See you in Heaven Faye!!! God Bless you.

Rev long was my Youth Pastror for five years at the Shekinah Youth Chapel of the Greater Allen Cathedral of New York. The one thing that I can truly say she did for my life is introduce me to true worship. As we say in Shekinah For the hour cometh and now is when the true worshipper must worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father is seekinag such to worship him God is a spirit and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth. Thanks for changing my life...

Grace and Peace Be Unto you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm a member of Abundant Life Family Worship Church in NJ and I had the priviledge of being touched by her presence on a Single's retreat. She had a special prayer for some of the singles and she came over to me and said, "The little girl in you needs to heal so that you can heal other little girls." I knew of her connection with the youth but she didn't know mine. I'm a youth leader at my church and I did have some issues from my childhood that I never shared or dealt with. Thanks to my brief moment with her, I sought Christian Counseling and I am on my way to my healing. My heart is broken right now for the loss of an Angel, but I know she's rejoicing because she is now home with her Father. My condolences to her family and her church family.

To the family and friends of Rev. Faye Long...I pray that God give thee peace. I had the opportunity of meeting Rev. Long years ago when she was in High School and she was a blessing to me to see her being so young and boldly preaching the word of God. And I am pleased that our paths once crossed. And for that I look forward to seeing her again as she has exchanged time for eternity. Until we met again...gone, but NEVER forgotten!

I submit this with a heavy heart as I sit here and recall the times and moments that I shared with my sister, Pastor Felicia Faye Long. Beyond the anointing that she possessed, she was truly a friend, an angel. Being here on earth, she was limited in where she could be, who she could look after or talk to; but GOD, saw just how big her heart was and made her job easier and took her home so that she could watch over her family and friends all at one time. I know that she is rejoicing with the angels and as it was said on yesterday, leading Praise and Worship... and getting her 30 second Praise Break in!!!

Faye, you are more than "a bag of chips, a Coke and a Mango Mistic"... Along with your family, the First Mt. Olive, the Shekinah Youth Chapel, and the Empowerment Temple Families are forever indebted to GOD for sharing one of His mostprecious treasures with us... In the words of Pastor Anthony Lee, truly death make have taken the box, but our Father has the treasure....

Sleep well my Sister, I shall see you in the morning...

Rev. Long was my four children's Youth Pastor. She knew that they were members of their grandfather's church and that they wanted to join Shekinah really bad. Their father and I had to make a decision and I went to Rev. Long and expained their situation. She listened and told me that she understood and would be praying for the release. Well, the release came and they were able to be a part of the last group of young people that recieved the Right Hand of Fellowship from Rev. Faye. She cried so much because she knew the sacrifice that they had made. She helped "sky-rocket" my children's worship experience. For that, I will forever be grateful. Take your rest Faye. You cannot crown Him until we all meet Him in the air. Submitted in love, Sis. J. Reddick (T.J., Marcus, Velarie and Charles (her lit'l singer)

Rev. Long was a phenominal woman of God and has made a wonderful impact on my life. I joined Shekinah Youth Chapel about a year and a half ago, seeking guidance and a stronger worship with the Father. She helped me through situations I was aware of and ones that were away in a closet. Because of Rev. Long, I am a much better person and on fire for Jesus! When she left to take her place as Assistant Pastor for Empowerment Temple, I told her that I had something to send her, and that I would send it to her within a month. I never got the chance to send it, but I would like to share it with all of you reading this message board. This is a song that I wrote dedicating it to Rev. Felicia Faye Long. God Bless!!!!

Rev. Long was my mother in the ministry. She contributed a great amount of faith and hope into my ministry. She was the woman who taught me everything I know and for that I am greatful. Because she called me her "diva daughter" and because I have been granted the name "Faye Jr." by herself and so many others I have vowed that whenever I minister not only will I just preach the gospel but I will reach out to people just as she did. To the people who have been touched by her ministry and by her just being Faye Long... be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might... remember that God is still God, he is still Holy and Omnipotent... he is the I AM... The bible says that that Gods strength is made perfect in weakness... now is the time where we ought to rely on the strength of the Lord and know that Jesus doeth all things well and that to everything there is a season, there is a time for purpose under the heavens... Let's live our lives so we can see her again... Rev. Long... on behalf of those who you've so diligently trained: you will be seen and heard again I PROMISE... I love you Pastor.

To God be all the glory. Rev. Long was my mother in ministry she birthed forth my preaching gift's about a year ago. She taught me how to wait on the lord and don't rush his season's. I want to thank you Rev.Long for what you have deposited in me and now there is a season that is to come fourth your lil prodigals. You caused my gifts to come fourth and now Rev. Long your preaching style is still going to go fourth but through those you have birth ministry out of. I want to encourage everyone who followed Rev. long's ministry and also sat under her with this, I shared this with my bible study class a week ago. Rev. Long preached with an URGENCY. An urgency like know other. The word of God that was in her belly was like the Prophet Jeremiah's FIRE that was SHUT UP in her bones that she had know joice but to preach it. young people there is an urgency in the land God is getting ready to show fourth his glory like never before. this urgency is to push us to the next dimention in him, it is know more levels but dimentions he is trying to get us to. There is a quick work that he is about to do. In this urgency we must walk in true HOLINESS and not to compromise with the things of the world but to identify with the Spirit of Christ and his likeness. Young People are you ready for the push of God that is about to be birthed out of our belly. GET READY. Thank you for the deposit you have left in Shekinah. like i told you at your birthday celebration and appreciation party. i will never say good bye but later. bye is eternal and later we will see each other again. but until then yo go on and shout in the holy place. love you always J.R

I was a member of the Shekinah Youth Chapel when Rev. Long came. I was one of the people that didnt really want to come to church and used to never pay attention. Rev. Long was the kind of preacher who made evryone want to come back to Shekinah every Sunday, not just because of how she preached, but also because of the person that she was. She made me want to become more involved in church and while she was here I joined Shekinah mass choir and the Liturgical Dance ministry. I was also an officer under her leadership and even though sometimes it could be hard work, she made it fun. One of the memories I have of Rev. Long is when I was helping her unpack when she moved into her new house about a year ago, I think. Somehow a whole bunch of her pictures got under her bed(Lord knows how) and of course I hear Rev. Long say "Girl, now u know you are skinny! You better get under there and get my pictures! What you here for if you're not gonna be useful?" Rev. Long was the kind of person that can make you laugh when you're in a bad mood and make the worse things to do more fun. She was always smiling and she had a great anointing on her life. She was famous in Shekinah for her sayings, her songs, and her preaching. When she told us that she was leaving to go back to Maryland I cried for days, so you can imagine how I was when I heard the news last week. I didnt know how Shekinah was going to make it after 5 years of being influenced by this great woman of God, but now I understand what God was doing. I think if she was still at Shekinah it would be much harder for us so even though there is still a lot of pain, God tried to make it easier. God makes no mistakes and she is up in heaven looking at us all and dancing. We will never forget you and you will never really be gone, because you will stay in all of our hearts FOREVER. You really touched my life and I thankyou for that. I love you Rev. Long and I don't want no peanut butter and jelly...I want my soul to be saved. NEVER FORGET. i send out my prayers to everyone that Rev. Long has touched which is everyone she's come in contact with. I pray for you, you pray for me, I LOVE YOU I NEED YOU TO SURVIVE.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2003

Rev Long touched anyone and everyone she came in contact with. After hearing her preach just one time at Shekinah she inspired me to change my life around and give it all to God. I thank God for the time she spent with us and she will always be remembered.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2003

Rev. Long was mad cool. She was a mother to me also. She was so young but so wise. I thank God for her, by the way she used to walk in Shekinah with her head always lifted and her smile. She brightened up the rooom . She made me feel so much better about myself, she made my self esteem rise tremendously.I remember all the good times we had together. I remember at her last shut in, she made me sing infront of every body (and she knew i was very shy) BUT rev did not care, that was her way of getting me back. LOL. I'll say Yes to my Lord , i'll say yess to my lord he's done great thing oo he is still doing great things i'll say yes yes yes to my Lord. Im so happy she said yes because im going to see her again one day. And I will never forget what she said "what God has for me it is for me" and I thank God she always believed in me and I thank God for the power she put in me. I love you so much.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2003

I bring greatings of faith to all in this time of not grief but of celebration as a Shekinah alumni. My beloved youth Pastor, Reverend Felicia Faye Long, words will not express how much you have changed my life. Remembering the first time our congregation was introduced to you was so memorable. Your consistancy to demand nothing but the best from us will live on forever. As an officer I will not forget the time we were at the Women's Day Retreat and you walked in the hotel lobby and called us out for not speaking right away! Things like that I will cherish always. Rev. Long you are a LIFE SAVER and I want to thank you for everything. I will miss you but you will remain in my heart for always.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2003

Thank You, thank you, thank you.To God be the Glory .

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2003

To Rev. Long: You are the most annointed preacher I have ever encountered. Everytime you spoke the word of God lives were changed, including my own. I have such great memories of our friendship, from playing "Truth or Dare" (the Holy version) at your house at 2:00am to driving 2 hours to get to Coney Island with Francina, Nakia and Alisha (a 15 min. trip when you know where your going). I have better memories of you being my Pastor. From you training us for the first "Seven Last Words" to you telling us we were to exhort 20 minutes before we were to address the congregation. You befriended me, loved me, prayed for me, interceeded on my behalf and for that I am eternally greatful. Thank you for saying yes to God when He called, for that 1 decision assures me that I will see you again. As I looked around New Psalmist on Saturday morning I saw Rev. Dyett Jr., Pastor McClurklin, Rev. Watley, all the Pastors from Youth Confrence, Shekinah, everyone from First Mt. Olive and I realized that these were not just people whom you touched and that loved you but the presence of all these people was the evidence of your undying faithfulness to follow God's will. I was reminded of the scripture "Only what you do for Christ will last" Know Rev. Long that what you have done for Him shall last. Thank you for being an inspiration to a generation of young people who will never forget your smile, your love, your generosity, your sense of humor but most of all your annointing. You taught us how, "To move from religion to relationship" and "...To worship Him in spirit and truth." I love you.

To Shekinah: Know that God is in control and that while we may have lost Rev. long in the flesh she shall forever remain in our hearts and spirits. Be strong for one another, pray for one another. And as Rev. Long would say, "Let the church say Amen, let the church say Amen, Let the church Amen Amen Amen."

I am enjoying reading how Rev. Long touched everyone life. I'm constantly smiling while reading the wonderful stories. I am a member of Empowerment Temple, but knowing Rev. Long from also coming from Mt. Olive, so when I found out that she was coming to E.T. I was very excited because I knew what God was doing with Rev. Long. From reading this I can see how she carried alot of the teachings of Bishop Brown with her, which also brings a smile to my heart, because he was her father in the faith. I am sadden because the Empowerment Temple teen's didn't have a change to really experience Rev. Long like Shekinah, but let me say that from the time that she was with us she had made a great impact on the lives that she did touch. I pray that we continue to not only remember her but apply all of her teachings to our lives. Please keep on telling the stories about how she touched your life and her memory will never die. I believe that this is helping alot of people deal with her passing. Like Bishop Flake said on Saturday because of what she had deposited into the young people at Shekinah we will be seeing Rev. Long again through Shekinah and I am patiently waiting. As I said previously I believe that God came and claimed His angel while she was in His prefect will. She just gave me the desire to strive to be in God's prefect will. God bless!

Words alone can not tell how Rev. Long touched my mind, heart, soul, and life. For much of the youth, Rev. Long didn't just give people some place on Sunday Morning, but she gave them another home. I am blessed to have been by her side for so long and I will truly miss her smile which would brighten any dark day. I love you, I love you, I love you Rev. Long. Remember, your:

2 Blessed +2 Be

4 Gotten!

I will never forget the times when I was new at Skekinah.I always set in the back, and it seems like Reverend Long knew me even though I chose to remain so distant.I once awoke from my shy spell and while one day in bible study we were praying I went to her and prayed with her. She knew that I have been hiding from society. Though Shekinah is big she knew everyone that walked through those doors, from the pulpit to the pew. She not only preached awesome sermons on Sunsays but she ministered. She touched my soul.I speak for those that say that they have remain distant, that God used this vessel to reach all four walls of Shekinah. For those that were touched by this awesome women of God never forget that God has a purpose for you. Reverend Long was young but she was obedient to God to forfill the purpose.ALWAYS be obedient to follow the purpose that God has laid for you.

Rev. Long was truly my pastor, my mentor and I can say a true friend. I was privileged to work for her as her Administrative Assistant at Shekinah. That year truly was a great experience because I know I never would have gotten to know her as well as I did until I started working for Rev. She considered me her daughter and always mentored me and made sure I was doing right. Working as Rev. Long's Assistant I got to see the good and the bad and I know that made me grow as a person. I am truly grateful for what she has deposited in my life and Shekinah I know that her memory is definitly living on inside of every one of us. She taught us a great deal especially about being a true worshipper and even from being an ambassador how to fully understand the scriptures.

I remember always being able to go online and talk to Rev about when I taught bible study in college. I would run my topic and scriptures by her every single time and have her pray for me. She always mentored me. And I know everything she has taught me will definitly stay in me.

I will miss her but I know I will see her again on the other side.

Shekinah - Stay Strong and know that we all have her living inside of us!!

Rev.Faye Long was my mentor and big sister. I had the priviledge of knowing her. Even as I am typing this response tears are streaming down my eyes because I lost my best friend. I shared things with her that I wouldn't dare share with anyone else. Even if it was embarrassing, she might have cracked on me but she kepted it to herself. When my brother was killed in 2002 she was the first person to make me laugh even in the midst of my pain. Faye helped me answer to my calling in the ministry. When I needed her she always made herself available to me and excepting the fact that she is gone is going to be hard for me but with God's grace, mercy, and comfort I will.

Faye Long was truly a blessing to me. Even though I was never a member of Shekinah, I was always there. People always ask me "why are you always at that other church?" But it was something that pulled me in that direction. I know it was all in God's plans for me to be in Shekinah while Faye Long was there, and I was definately blessed. I remember those awesome bible studies that felt like I was up in church! When she spoke, she used to speak directly to me and my specific situations. Even as I still go through certain things in my life, I can still use what she has taught me, and apply them tomy situations. Her words were extremely powerful and when she was done preaching, it seemed as if she never stopped. Even as we parted from one another, our hearts were still impacted by the word God spoke through her. Like no other pastor, she will not be forgotten. She is my divine influence and my inspiration. As we reflect on her life,we should continue to give God the praise for putting Faye into our lives. There may be tears but we all know that Jesus is the mender of all broken hearts. He is our strength and our healer. Pray, and he will walk us through this storm......b-blest

Rev. Long's heart felt spirit was seen through her preaching, her teaching and in her leadership. She was vulnerable and yet strong as an ox in Jesus. That is what made her both human and a great leader for our youth @ Shekinah. The youth grew as a result of her leadership and her honesty. When she didn't have the answers to their many questions, she taught them how to worship and pray. And for that I and every youth leader is grateful for. I didn't know her before she came to Allen, but I do know that she grew as a minister and a person while she was at Allen. All of us must grow to our fullest potential in Christ while we are still living on this earth, for tomorrow is never promised. Thank you Rev. Long for showing us how to live for Christ.

I will be eternally grateful, for the little voice i always hear when i'm thinkin' of mess. I'm also thankful of you being you. I will never forget you, you are continuing to make a great impact on my life day to day. Rev.Long you were the most amazing preacher I've ever heard, We had a deliverance/healing/ service every Sunday and Wednesday. You always kept it real regardless of the situation. Not only were you a great preacher but, you was a great friend. You always encouraged me, When I felt like giving up the piano or just giving up on life you told me to "Build a bridge and get over it". I know that God was a bigger plan that we can't see and ,I know that God is going to get stronger in our weakness. I just wanted to tell you that I love you.

Rev. Felicia Faye Long... This woman was an awesome, inspiring, powerful, anointed, beautiful, and gifted woman of GOD! It was a true blessing to have known her. After GOD Rev. Long was the most convincing factor for getting me back in church, and keeping me there. I thank GOD for her; she has helped me realize my calling and my purpose in GOD and she has planted priceless seeds of ministry and wisdon of which I could never fully repay. Rev. Long was used mightily of GOD. It was GOD's unmerited favor that I got to know her.

I love you Rev. Long.

I pray the JOY of the Lord of the Long family for it is indeed our strength. I pray that the PEACE of GOD will gaurd the hearts and minds of us all. And it is so in Jesus' name! To GOD be the glory now and forevermore! -Amen!

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Long family as well as the members of Allen Cathedral, Shekinah, and Empowerment Temple.

I do understand the sorrow of losing a great woman of God, we are still adjusting to the loss of my mother, Mother Glorya Dove in July of this year. However, I do know that God knows what is best and somehow in his plan every tear we shed, every pain we feel is working for our good. So I say, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. God Bless and keep you all is my prayer.

I HAD THE AWESOME OPPURTUNITY, TO BEFRIEND REV. LONG MANY YEARS AGO WHILE WE WERE JUST BEGINNING HIGH SCHOOL. THE ANNOINTIMG THAT RESTED ON FAYE EARLY IN LIFE, WAS TRULY AMAZING. AT 14 YEARS OLD, I REMEMBER SAYING THAT GOD WAS GOING TO BLESS HER AND THAT SHE WOULD DO GREAT THINGS IN HIM. IT CAME TO NO SUPRISE TO ME TO SEE HER MOVEMENT IN MINISTY OVER THE LAST 13 YEARS. WHAT AN AWESOME WOMAN, WHO WAS TRULY A BLESSING TO THE BODY OF CHRIST.TAKE YOUR REST FAYE, JUST REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN"T CROWN HIM UNTIL I GET THERE. LOVE YA!

I admired Rev. Faye Long. The first time I heard her preach I was in awe of how God could use someone her age so powerfully. Rev. Long and I had similar childhood testimonies and she inspired me to believe that God could use anybody, even someone like me! She was a very special woman and many of her words will remain etched in my mind. By the grace of God I will walk in the prophecy she spoke in to my life. Thank you Lord for Rev. Long what a blessing it was to receive from her.

"Many daughters have done well but you excel them all" Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates! Proverbs 31:29-31

God bought a friend and an fellow co-laborer into my life and into my church(Empowerment Temple) 7 months ago. It is still surreal that REv. Long went home to be with the Lord 2 weeks ago. My spirit has accepted what has taken place, but my heart misses a friend and her presence. Faye was a gift to the body of Christ, a woman with a sweet and humerous spirit, and a person who operated in excellence. Her deposit into our lives will never by forgotten and the love for her will never leave.

As a body, I ask that we continue to keep her family in our prayers. That will also mazimize every possible moment that will have and that will live to make God proud. Value family, friends, and leaders while they are alive and never forget what they sow into your lives.

God Bless: MInister Myisha Cherry/Empowerment Temple AME Baltimore, Maryland

Rev. Long always kept it real, that was the best thing about her. You could always call her when your feeling down and excpect to have a laugh before you get off the phone. If I had to describe Rev. Long in one word it would have to be SMILE!!!!!

Rev. Long always kept it real, that was the best thing about her. You could always call her when your feeling down and excpect to have a laugh before you get off the phone. If I had to describe Rev. Long in one word it would have to be SMILE!! She was always smiling. However her smiles weren't fake like some people. There was also something about her hugs and kisses. They were different than everybody elses. One thing I thank Rev. Long for is that she always believed in all of us, especially me. When she appointed me to be an officer, I was like me??? Nah, I'm too young, I won't be good enough and all the other excuses I could find. She was like but there is something about you, your peculiar. She told me If I just let it flow from my belly everything will be alright and thats exactly what I did. So I just want to say thank you Rev. Long and I LOVE YOU! "Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. I just want to say thank you Lord." Rev. Long is in a better place now and we should say thank you Lord although we are hurting and missing her. God Bless and keep all of yall.

My peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Rev. Long was truly a blessing that God sent to me and everyone else that she came in contact with. My pastor (Rev. Long) taught me how to worship God on another level. She taught me about true worship. She encouraged me to step out of my box and give God the praise that he deserved. I loved her dearly from her smile, to her hugs, to her catchy phrases, to her silly teeth and everything that she has taught me and instilled in me. God's plans are much more bigger than mine so I thank God for allowing me to meet her and serving under her leadership as an ambassador and an officer in Shekinah. I know that she is in a better place and I will never forget to give God all the praise the glory and the honor.

What can I say about a woman who has taught me to first love GOD and then to respect MYSELF and finally WORSHIP GOD FOREVER MORE, and everything else will fall into place.I truly love Rev. Felecia Faye Long.I am still hurting because I cannot get over the fact that I will nver see her in the flesh again. I know we will meet again though. The hardest thing right now is that I didn't get to go to her funeral because of the snow storm. But it's okay.Being a part of Shekinah Youth Chapel, Shekinah Mass, and The Liturgical Dance Ministry she taught me that it is not for show everything is for God. Just a message to everyone live life the right way and live for God, you do not now what tomorrow hlods, but one thing you can know is where you are going!!! Grace and Peace to my PASTOR ALWAYS. Words can not express how I feel at this point in my life. I lost a Mentor, sister, and a bestfriend all at once. I have so many memories of Rev. at her house and my own. I remember the time where she call China, Africa, 911 on my cellular phone all in one day. I thought I was going to faint. Also I remember a story were Rev. pick up a salt shaker and pour all the salt onto Tasha Cohn steak at Red Lobster. That was the devil. And we laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh. Oh wait there was a time when we were coming from a church real late at night and we pass by a young lady standing on the street for money to feed her child. Now people in the car was saying "What are you doing". She stop the car, got out, went to talk to the young lady, and the young lady gave her life to Christ on South Road. She was so happy and rejoice in the car. Rev. was a person who you could chill with and have fun. Comedian was Rev. middle name. You could tell she came from a wonderful home just by the way she talked about her Momma and Papa Long. Momma and Papa Long are funny just like her. You could tell were she gets it from. I will miss her dearly. It feels like a piece of my heart is gone. I will continue to pray for her Long Family, Rev's. Floyd and Elaine Flake, Shekinah kids, Allen church in a whole, Rev. Jamel Bryant , Emopowerment Church, Mt Olivet Church, Her "Special Friend", her godchildren, her best friends, her "Preacher Friends", and friends across the United States you know who you are. I love you all. I truly will miss my friend Rev. Felicia Faye Long. Church be encourage, stay strong, and always keep Jesus on your mind. If anyone needs a word of encouragement read Isaiah 57:1-2. This scripture help me when i said God I need a word from you and he did it. He will do the same for you. Rest in peace Pastor Long.

Everyday I thank God for his many blessings. When he placed Faye in my life he really blessed me beyond measures. I remember when I first found out I was apart of the family. My godmother is Faye's mother bestfriend and I did not know that until I went to go here Faye preach for my first time about 5 yrs ago. I was 10 going on 11. She was preaching at the Sisters Dialogue that my church was giving. Me and my friend Ericka was her little helpers, we made sure she had everything she needed. Well, Faye had a cold and so did I, so I was kinda keeping my distance. She thought that I was being non- shalont and she said, "Girl, come over here I ain't gonna bite". She asked me my name and I told her. We continued the conversation and we found out that we were godsisters. Every since then we have been best friends. I was so grateful to have her in my life. If I did not see her everyday I called her. Waking up everyday after November 30,2003 is going to be hard for me because I want to pick up the phone so bad and call her. Then I realized that I no longer need a phone to talk to her because like she was when she was here, she is right by my side.

I first would like to send my condolesences to the family, friends, and all who were impacted by Rev. Long. I pray God's strength, peace, and comfort in your time of bereavement. I have been a member at Allen since 2001. Since that time, I have experienced the preachings and teachings of Rev. Long. One particular teaching I remember was when she filled in for Rev. Carson during one of our Young Adult Ministry bible studies. We were using Joyce Meyer's book Filled with the Spirit. I remember being literally at the edge of my seat as she spoke. My spirit connected with every word that came out of her mouth which confirmed to me that what she spoke came from the Lord. God used her in such a way that a gentleman knelt at her feet after she delivered the word. She responded to this young man in such a loving and comforting way, the same way Jesus would. (What a lesson to be learned) She did not try to dismiss him, which leads me to my next point about Rev. Long. As powerful and influential as she was she was very approachable. It was evident that she knew that she was working for God and not for Rev. Long. She knew that the ministry that was given to her by God was for God and not for her. She did not abuse the power God gave to her. Even though my encounters with Rev. Long were few, I have many fond memories of how her words and actions spoke life to me. When I heard the news of her passing, I have to admit I had one question. Why did such a young, powerful, and influential woman of God had to go so soon? She could have changed so many more lives, I thought. However, God showed the children of Shekinah. They are on fire for Jesus. Many of them would not have known the Lord hadn't it been for Rev. Long. Many ministries are being birthed as a result of Rev. Long being with us. So although physically she will not be here, the annointing that flowed from her to everyone she came in contact with, have and will continue to change lives. God Bless you Rev. Long. I thank God for lending you to us. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord. My life will never be the same because I met you and I thank God that I was afforded that privilege.

I side with my sisters, Franny, Stephanie, Nikia and Aiyana, Rev.was more than a pastor, she was a close friend. I got to see sides of her that others really didn't and for that I was truly blessed. God trusted me with one of his most precious possessions. To know that a person could possess that much anointing and still be human amazed me. I don't have to tell most of you who she was to me. If you didn't see it as I travelled with her and served her for 5 yrs. then you'll never know. She challenged me, stretched, helped me to become a better, stronger person. She trusted me with EVERYTHING, and that meant alot to me. I'll miss you Rev. and I'll do what you said, I'll stay close to the anointing.

Rev. Long was the master of resolving Parent and Child Problems. Everytime I called she knew that it was about me and and my mother. Rev. always taught me to be humble and never talk out of turn, and if I did otherwise my behind was hers. Rev. always popped up at my school checking on me, came to b-ball games, and hung out with me all in 1 weekend and still went to church on Sunday and preached the house down. That was one thing about her that made her who she was, she was able to stay in the will of God and be fun to hang around with, joke with, be human all at the same time. She was my human pillow and her shoulders stayed wet from the many tears I cried over the years. I thank God for my Big Godsister because it is because of her I am Closer to Him.
