You should look for http when it comes to manga. FTP is more for anime.

If you go to #mangaproject and type !list, you should be able to find 2 or 3 ftps among the results. #mangaproject is on irc.mircx.com, btw.

No, it was ubb who said that, not me. Personally I get most of my anime from irc and bittorrent.
