Hi Daryll,I've read a little about Stevia plants, but I'm not that familiar with how to propogate them. What zones do they grow in? Thanks!

Hi Sheepish, The best way to propagate stevia is by cuttings, seeds will work but are a real pain in the ass to germinate. Zone 8&9 stevia can be grown as a perennial any zone colder you have to protect them from freezing so most grow them as an annual and set out cuttings in the spring. I usually let a few of my plants flower and seed up then run over them with a lawnmower and let nature take it's course, always get a bunch of new plants with that method. Take care, Daryll in NW FLA

My neighbor gave me two stevia plants last summer. And they were delicious! Everytime my granddaughter came over she would snack on a couple of leaves :-)! They did really well outside while the weather was warm. 'Course then I had to bring them inside for the fall! Well, my cats LOVED them even more than my GD!!! There was absolutely no place that I could keep the plants so my cats couldn't get to them. Bummer!!
