Lunar eclipse.

Is anyone watching this tonight? It's 7:35 p.m. here now and the moon is just over half covered. Really strange to watch! The only problem is that all Harry and I can do is open the door, step out on the porch, quickly check out the moon, look at each other saying "yup...it's eclipsing" and get back inside!!! Because...it's cold enough outside tonight to freeze the ***** off a brass monkey :-)!! Really windy! Full eclipse is supposed to be just after 8 p.m. I WILL be there to see it!

It was way cool!! I thought it was so interesting that it covered one way and instead of continuing in that direction, it uncovered up. That was really strange. Tried to take a picture but it wouldn't do it.

Question, if a full moon brings out the lunies, what does a luner eclipse do?

Didn't even know it was going to happen, Marcia! Wouldn't have mattered anyway - I was in bed with a book by 7; and snoozing away by 8!

Dee - it brought out the loonies, too; judging by our census at work this morning!

We got lucky, we could see it from our patio door so we didn't even need to go outside. We watched it until totality, but then I fell asleep on the couch so I didn't see it uncover again.

I know this is impossible, but it seems like there's more lunar eclipses than there used to be. I guess the media is making more of a big deal about them and that's why I notice them more.
