I would like to know about his life and death. Also, are there any encounters between Edgar and John LaFitte or Andrew Jackson?

RESEARCH! What I know is that Poe was born, and he was an orphan to a dunk and a whore. Then he was adopted when he was a tot (I think) to this rich family. The new mother liked him more then his new father. His favorite was this friend of his mother though, because she was better to him than anyone else. Then later he started going to school in Europe( I think) but was kicked out. Somewhere at this time he fell in love with this women, but her father didn't want them together because he didn't have loads of money. So they stopped seeing eachother and Poe got this letter saying she was engaged to some rich political guy. His new father pulled some strings and got him in the University of Virgina, but he was later kicked out of there because he picked up gambling and a little drinking. So he lost all his money and his father basically disowned him. So I think he moved in with his biological aunt, some women he really liked. When he was there he started tutoring her daughter (his cousin?). She was twelve and he was twenty two years older than her. He fell in love with her (yuck) and they were married when she was fourteen I belive. Like went on and they kept living in her mother's house. Eventually they didn't have any money anymore and the mother became a begger. This was after Poe's wife fell ill and was totally bed ridden. So Poe began to drink more and he cheated on his wife ofain with many differnt women. He fell in love several times. Then his wife dided, that's when he wrote "Annabel Lee". Then he died in some street of a stroke I think and his last words were "God have mercy on my turtured soul". (if you hadn't noticed I can't spell). There's specualtion that Poe had an undiagnosed case of Skitsofrania. I think. If you want to really know what really happened with dates and junk then look it up.
