Thanks, that was a good article! She shared some golden nuggets that are important to keep at the fore front of everything we do and are - the value of the relationships in our lives rather than our possesions and we really don't need a lot to have church. Church under a tree - wow!

Mary, Thank you so much for telling us about that article. During these times of heightened church politics as we prepare for General Conference, it was a pleasure to hear how Bishop McKenzie feels about her work. What she said really gave me pause to think about what's important.

Interesting. Thanks for the link. I will predict that despite Bishop Vashti's work in the 18th District she will not be reassigned for a 2nd tour of duty in Southern Africa. It is all but certain that she will have a District based in the US at the next General Conference. The Kingdom of Lesotho sure has an interesting policy of "enforcing" responsible behavior. Personally, I don't quite understand the issue about the Bishop's marriage license. My marriage license is kept in a safe deposit box at a financial institution. An alternative is to simply get a duplicate from the city which issued your license. QED
