Instead of clicking on it, try right-clicking and saving on your computer. THEN try to run the bittorrent and download the file until it says "Finished."

sometimes, some torrents are titled with xxxx.avi.avi, so just rename the format to xxxx.avi.torrent and the BT should run when you double- click the file.
