Hi ..... im new to torrents and irc and i have no idea what im doing...

im a dial up 56k modem and im fond of kazza++,netpumper.

can any 1 please explain bit torrents to me please. all i know is that u download a file (shortcut) then u download slowly. like..... what are seeds and dl's?

and what is up with mIRC? i can get on the chat rooms and chat to ppl and i know how to talk to ppl seprately..... but how the hell du u download files? some 1 explain from step 1 plllllleeeeeeeaaaasssee?

1 more thing..... what is the best p2p system? im using kazza at the moment. (whats good for = samurai pizza cats, mario bros, sonic underground/aosth,anime-manger eps?)

eewww..if u r on a dial up I wouldnt recommend bittorrent or any peer to peer at all. its gonna take forever dude, why dont u just upgrade ur connection.

i am so sick of ppl saying that instead of trying to help. I live in the uk in the crappy countryside and this stupid island called sheppy does not have broad band and now we might be getting broadband on the island next year so beleive me when i say i would if i could......

www.questie.com/manga. Kazaa is good for Samurai Pizza Cats and other old cartoons. It takes forever even without a poor connection, but if you're patient you should be able to have a least something within a week.

I'm using KazaaLite too and i'm on 56K and my downloads go fairly fast. I say for 56Kers KazaaLite is the best P2P.

To download files on irc, type !list, and type the sentence inside the trigger, here are the basic commands if you need to access people's shared folder using dos mode.
cd .. = go back to parent dir
get iwanttoseeyou.avi = getting file, do NOT include the file size (i.e. 172 MB)
If you happen to see an index at the left of every folder and file, just type 1D,2F, etc. to open folder or d/l file.

I am on 56k and it only takes one night per episode downloaded. That is great because I have no time for anything but class during the day, and I just leave my DL going while I sleep. I wake up and I have a new episode. BT is really easy. DL the Client from Bitconjurer.com. Run the setup on it. After that the prog will auto start once you click on a BT file. Go to any BT site (ie Suprnova.org, AnimeSuki.com, Gotwoot.net, etc.) find an episode you want, then click on it. It will then do something, then ask you where you want to save the file to. Select where to save it to, then it starts to DL. Keep in mind, thouhg, that in order to complete a file there must be someone on Seeding it. If there is not, the file cannot complete. If there are zero seeds, just find someone on here, or on the BT sites' forums, to get on and seed it for you.
