A friend of mine just got a 10% salary cut because of business slow-down. It seems to me that I read somewhere that a company is required to give a person a couple of months notice before they can cut you. Anyone know anything about this? I've spent some time on the web looking for the rules but haven't run across them yet. Any ideas where to look?.....Kirk

There is a loophole that can be used by management. If the employee is exempt salaried classification, they do not need to be given 2 weeks notice and they will also need to verify that no memo was posted on an employee accesible message board referencing the salary reductions.
