akira toriyama plays a big part in the naruto anime (making the comic to anime conversion with the same success and remaining as close to the story as possible of the manga in the same way he did with his dragonball series). he doesnt play a part in the production of the manga.

Wait, wait, wait, as far as I know, Akira Toriyama had NOTHING to do with the Naruto anime or the manga. It's just that Kishimoto loved DBZ as a child and credits Toriyama for inspiring him to write manga. That's it, that's all as far as I know.

Thats correct, Akira Toriyama has nothing at all to do with Naruto manga or anime, his name is nowhere to be found on any credit, and it would certainly be advertised more that the great Toriyama Sensei played a role in the series.

Katsuhiro Otomo, Masamune Shiro, those guys are senseis. He he. DBZ, cool stuff as well, I must say. Akira Toriyama, Sensei?. Allright. It was Katsuhiro Otomo, who inspired, Masahi Kishimoto, to return to art. He didn't start drawing again, until late in highschool, if I recall correctly. So, he mentioned, he saw, back in 1988, or 89, a drawing from Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of Akira, with Kaneda, walking towards, his red bike, from a compositional point of view, Kishimoto, found it very very inspirational. He thought that Otomos, composition was extremely difficult, and hard to do, and wondered how he did it, and thats what I read, from the manga scanlations. If you read all the manga scanlations, you'll find, parts where he talks about his staff, and even draws them, like a yakuza team, quite cool. Just read all the manga. He talks about stuff that inspired him, and his other past comics, he's drawn.
