Ranma½ is a good one if u like comedy/romance/martial arts. It's by the same creator as InuYasha.

a good fighting anime is "Rurouni Kenshin". its great and a lot of action in it. others i know that ive watched that are good is the anime "X". its kinda bloody but the story is good and has some great action scenes in it if you like those types of anime. another is maybe ".Hack//Sign". it has a decent amount of good action scenes and has a pretty good plot to it and other stuff.
