DARPA Used Macintosh Purchasegreenspun.com : LUSENET : SpannMan's Logbook : One Thread |
Today I gave a $700 check to Dave Thompson (RSIS) for the purchase of two Macintosh G4 (Sawtooth) machines. The first machine has a DARPA/RSIS sticker of 26114 and a serial number of XB0189XUJ2S.
The second machine has a DARPA/RSIS sticker of 26107 and a serial number of XB0189WQJ2S.
Both of the machines are to include an Apple monitor. Doug Clark of RSIS has promised to bring the monitors from RSIS to DARPA this Friday, September 5th.
I am planning on taking home the CPUs and keyboards today and the monitors on Friday.

Today Dave Thompson gave me two used 17" Dell monitors. Both appear to be in good share. I was able to attach one to one of the new Sawtooth machines and it looked good. There were two faint horizonal lines in the display, but I was not able to remember the admin password and therefore could not tweak the settings.
