can anyone tell me why my video has gay green splats on the screen that make it immpossible to view?

Because the person who encoded the video's original file was corupt in that part and there is no way to fix it...I sugest to download it again

Try downloading the newest codecs or just download sld codec pack or nimo codec pack.
