Trigun is set in the years after the earth has been destroyed, its very similar to the old west, gun slingers, sherrifs, carrages. There is only a small amount of technology that has survived. There are 12 towns, most of them are named after months of the year.Vash the stampede is a legendary outlaw, who has a $60 billion dollar bounty on his head, and its because of this bounty that trouble follows him everywhere, (if you saw a man worth that amount of cash, no man woman or child would not try and kill him, as this new world is poor.)
2 girls from an insurance agency are trying to locate the man nicknamed the stampede(because everywhere hes been is destryed) to settle insurance claims.
**This all happens in Episode 1 so this is not really a spoiler**
The character developement is very good, the humour is hilarious, and the further you watch the more serious the series gets and the better the story line develops but it still keeps in the humour.
There are only 26 episodes in the series and its one series like Cowboy bebop, i would recomend this to anyone who loves anime.

Trigun is a sci-fi western where vash the main charater is being hunter for the bounty on his head. for the first couple of episodes this series is very much a comedy but with each episode more depth is discovered in vashs charater and more importantly his past. sadly cant say much more without giving away the great plot but this is truly a must see for any anime lovers, great charaters and a great storyline.
