NONE of them are!!! Sure they have "faults", but that just makes these girls more HUMAN!! Would you care about them if they were uber perfect and all-powerful like Q?? OF COURSE NOT!!!!! And anyway, it's how the male writers in their animes written their characters. Hell, the heroines you speak about DO grow out of their little quirks in time.

To go into Klingon mode: The American male writers make you think the girls are too weak to face their outside foes, but the TRUE test of a warrior is not without, it is within! *points to my heart* HERE!! Here is where we meet the challenge! It is the weaknesses in here that a warrior must overcome! And they do! Perhaps not to one's liking, but they do meet their respective challenges and overcome them! Hope that clears up everyhing.

Actually, the fact that these girls get everything they want (Miaka: boyfriend, powers, obviously the heroine and she can't die PLUS she gets her friend back AND she gets to marry Tamahome) (Usagi: Powers, Tuxedo Kamen, and once again, she can't die because she;s the heroine!) DOESN'T THAT MAKE THEM A LITTLE MORE UNREAL??? I hope that clears everything up for you.
