Whats the worest dubbed anime you've ever seen?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread |
i haven't seen many dubbed animes (since i got my new computer at least) but i watched sailor moon dubbed, and i thought it was pretty bad... but then, i saw a few episdoes of cardcaptors, that would have to be the worest dub ever (no relationship stays the same, not even a boy girl relationship) -_-

yes. i watched one episode of dubbed Cardcaptor Sakura on TV once and nearly cried. I'm glad i dun have CN here but the broadcasters in my country seem to think that anything from US is the best so we're getting second-hand dubbed rubbish. no wonder anime is never popular here. who'll like it after seeing what's on TV???

Card captor Sakura was on wb, and what country are you living in? I would also have to say ccs

oh.....I want to go to Japan......never mind

Definetly Cardcaptors. Card Captor Sakura's charm was lost in the voices, the intro made ears bleed, and it looked like they were trying to make it into a boy's pokemon or something..and! all that time cut, dialogue changed,,, too much to say. Also: Still showing in my area...

the sad thing is cardcaptors still comes on teletoon at 7:30 am
-- Anonymous, August 15, 2003
i have to agree, the charm was lost in the voices (last time i checked, they didn't sound like teenagers in the jap version) but really, it wasn't just the voices, when everything is changed voices were the least of my worries...

Card captor sakura was cancelled though.......nelvana should never dubb anime
-- Anonymous, August 15, 2003
Neither should DiC(k). I saw what they did to "Sailor Moon" and it REALLY pissed me off!!! And what Nelvana did to "Card Captor Sakura" also took the cake!>< Frippin' bastards. DBZ STILL SUCKS!!!!!!><

Kenshin.. I was totally unhappy to see the dubbed version after watching all of it in japanese...

cardcaptor sakura (cardcaptors) and ranma - both in english.spanish dubs tend to be good though.
-- Anonymous, August 15, 2003
Spanish dubs suck even more (I tend to get a fair share of spanish stuff when downloading anime, dunno why that is...Heck, I can't even understand most of it)...the voices are just so...weird. Anyway, I don't watch a lot of dubbed anime. I download most of it, and the things that I download are usually (fan)subbed. I have to download all the stuff, 'cuz here in the Netherlands they never show good animes on TV. I'm moving to japan, lol ^_^

Did anyone see Fox totally butcher Escaflowne? They freaking cut out the FIRST episode and showed it as a flashback... after 5 minutes I turned off the tv and was cussing up a storm...
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2003
u guys are all wrong about cardcaptor and dbz. the worse anime ever is rein the conqor. it fucking bad.
-- Anonymous, August 16, 2003

-- Anonymous, August 16, 2003
... was escaflowne really that bad? i saw it in english on YTV and then with subs later on, mabe my memory was fogggy after not seeing the english version in so long, but the story and such wasn't changed all that much, besides the first few episdoes...
