Hello:

I am 4th year pastor of a relatively small (120 members) AME church in the metro atlanta area. There are approximately 20-25 young adults (ages 18 - 30) of which we have tried to start new ministries but nothing has taken, i.e. go for 3-4 months and then stop.

Does anyone know of good young adult ministry models that you can direct me to which can help my congregation.

You can look on amazon.com and do a search on young adult ministry in the books section and see a good number of resources to possibly check out. Also if you check out some books on ministering to Post Modern people, they may give you some good ideas. Brian McLaren and Leonard Sweet are two popular authors. Of course you need to adjust any model you read about to the culture of those particular people that you are trying to reach.
