Answers

Actually, in Japanese it's two words put together "inu"= dog and "yasha"= demon. However since it is someone's name it is said together all of the time, and not separated into the two separate words although it is two words. In order to simplify this concept it is spelled "Inuyasha" in America. So "Inu Yasha" or "Inuyasha" is correct. Although I highly recomend searching for "Inuyasha" just because that is the most common spelling. ^_^

I ALWAYS say Inuyasha, I think it is really stupid/annoying having to read "Inu Yasha" or some other random spelling -_- seeing as when it's split it looks like it's not someone's name...

Seriously, if you don't know Japanese, don't try to explain it.

Yasha does NOT mean demon, it means FEMALE DEMON. Youkai means demon.

This might be one of those Japanese things, where part of a word is cut off when combined with another, because Inuku means dog.

inu = dog yasha = demon

It very well might be how the full word is changed cause hanyou han= half you= demon

yet like it was stated Youkai is supposed to be demon. It could also just be another way of saying demon. Like you can say "I" by using watashi, atashi, or boku (most common but there are more) it could be the same thing with youkai and yasha

Inuku and Inu are two perfectly valid ways of saying dog.

And how the heck does "Half You" mean demon? That makes no sense.

Lol! His name is Sesshourmaru! jameson do you even know who Sesshourmaru is? Sesshoumaru is Inuyasha's brother in the show. Anyways I trust Sesshourmaru knows japanese!

it's spelled Sesshomaru -_______-' Yes, InuYasha is one word except the I and the Y are capitalized.
