im trying to edit a vidoe wich is a DAT file and i want to make it into a MPEG so i can edit it on windows movie maker. can anyone hellp me do this or tell me how

Answers

DAT is a MPEG-1 file with a special header. If you do a search on the Internet, VCDgear can convert your DAT file back to MPEG-1. http://www.doom9.net might have VCDgear in the Downloads section. If not, you will have to search to find it.
