i don't like thier animation(they mix american with japanese!) but they're mangakas...thay used to have a HOW TO DRAW MANGA book and once they were scouting for talent...but i was just an eighthgrader and i wasn't as good as i am now...

rod espinoza is cool... but he uses a kind of amerimanga.. weird, the style is cool, but is not catalogues as manga...

now fred (who?) is cool!... I like hes style, drawings he makes is cool... but for some reason, the golden digger manga that he does doenst look too good...

theres some artists around, but the thing is this. you are not from japan, that means that you cant be exactly as the mangas from there, you have see another things, and you like some others... so do, whatever you do, you stile wont be full manga... (thats why theres no gaijin that is a mangaka)...

so what you do is you mix styles... or like me, that uses like 90% anime and 10% some other things.. :)

Hmm....ok well i guess but i'd rather stick to manga no american style...thats why i like manga cuz i think it looks better then the comics here....and because of comics like batman and super man manga by some people is seen as a kid thing....~sigh~ i like japanese style but u have a good point juas....and ya...some times ur on a creative streak other times u wonder why u can't draw like u did the day before....i think its just how inspired u are at the moment.....ya that is weird^-^hahaha

well ya the whole point about being a mangaka is to have your own style so i guess ur right....i like yui watase she draws awsome, and clamp draws real good too, but then theres rumiko takahashi, oh and the mangaka who made kenshin~sob~i don't know her name:(...^-^ i've decided to blend some and to make up some of my own following the manga basics....haha i can't be a mangaka if i copy someone else, right???

Everyday I fight to become the first gai-jin mangaka. I am fluent in the language enough to write the text and have tried twice. Maybe there will never be a gaijin mangaka, maybe there will. But if ever comes to that point where one does appear, THE ONE that will reset the standard for that one time. Don't look down on that person, because that person represents each and everyone on us. To say they suck is to say we suck. The japanese like my style, but not a bit of it is traditional manga. I don't have to be thanks to people like the guy who did the Berserk manga and Tetsuo Hara who draw like the american comic style. There will be, I can feel that the first gaijin mangaka will be coming soon enough and he/she will be one of the best there is. It probably wont be me, but I have a gut feeling that there will be. If I were you, I'd do my best to be that special person. My style is a strong mix of artistic panel designs, cinematic content decisions and both the american and japanese style of comic mixed in a harmony that even the japanese businessmen who are already set in the ways of Japan say I'm good. I don't think I'm quite there yet, though.. Don't think by only reading "How to draw Manga" is gonna make you anymore ready. You have to give them something that they've never seen. There must be a strong sense of purpose behind you that can't be denied. I want to spread messages to people and try to reach lives and feeling through my art, that's why manga is one thing that has major importance to me. And the one thing that I can have pride to say that I am good at doing. So this gives me the courage everyday to do my best to win that battle, so do me a favor and support those of us that are trying our best. I'm probably just blabbering but us aspiring gaijin mangaka need the support of all of you guys. It would be much appreciated. Thank you.
