We have Db2 V7.2 fixpak 6 on AIX 4.3.3 with SAP 4.6D. All the tablespaces have been defined with 4K page size.Due to heavy database growth, these tablespaces reach to 64GB limit every 3-4 months. I am now planning to create tablespaces with 8K page size.

My query is :

1. Avg. row size of each table is lower than 3K. Will I have any benefit having 8k page size ? 2. What are the disadvantages of having 8k page size in this scenario ? 3. What are the pre-requisites before creating a tablespace with 8K page size

Please clarify ?
