The Lay Biennial begins Sunday, July 6, 2003. The loss of our Connectional President will truly mkae for a somewhat somber occassion. I will be arriving Tuesday Morning July 8, 2003. Hopefully, I will arrive in time to catch the keynote address by Vernon Jordan, Esq. The Collegiate Choir from my church will be providing ministry in song Tuesday evening. I'm looking forward to sharing with others my proposed AME legislation. I hope to see some members from the AME Today family like Barbara Robinson, Tammy Terry, Larry Clark, Robert Matthews and many, many more. Somebody please bring a camera!!! Can't wait to sink my teeth into some gumbo, gator tails and a wide assortment of Creole cooking. If time permits and my wife grants permission, I might even check out the Essence Festivial while I'm in the Big Easy. I know it is a challege witnessing about the Love of Christ and discussing the esoteric features of the American economy when surrounded by beautiful and accomplished black women, but to paraprhase Isaiah's calling (Isa, 6:8), "Here I am Lord, please, please send me" :-) QED

Professor Dickens:

We look to see you Tuesday at eh Biennial. I know you will see Robert Matthews there because I know for sure he is there. I will be there from Mondy night til Thursday. We will have to do lunch one day. We must support our Florida connection, because as the Eleventh rewpresent we are back on top as having the presideent agian, I hate it has to be on this sort of event but god knows best.
