Another icon from the 70's has passed all too soon! Barry White will be missed. I remember when he challenged Ike (Issac Hayes) for the crown of providing telephone players with their "smooth rap lines." My brothers would play Barry softly in the background and try to be sensitive in "rapping to their honeys." I went to see him in concert and thoroughly enjoyed his production. He and his orchestra performed the concert wearing silk pajamas! He was so cool! Rest on Barry White! By the way, thanks for the lines!

I, too, attended a Barry White concert. Well, actually, I was an usher and only vaguely familiar with him at the time - this was at least five to seven years ago. And yes, he was wearing silk jammies, but I didn't realize that was what they were until I read the review in the paper the next day. They were fancier and probably more expensive than anything I have or probably ever will slept in.

I had always considered him more of "chick singer", so it was surprising that I really enjoyed the concert.

One of the best performers ever. I saw him 4 times in concert and met him in 1990 truly a great humble man. The shows were strong and powerful just like his voice. He will be truly missed. Can say I am lucky to have met a great entertainer.
