Ok, maybe you all will think i'm stupid, but i just don't get this - what in the world is OAV and how is it different from normal TV series, are they drawn differently or something? like the movies that differ from usual episodes(like in inuyasha or escaflowne) I hope you'll help with that 'cause i encounter this term all the time and not knowing what it means is driving me crazy ._. thanks

OAV/OVA = original anime video. They're episodes that don't get shown on TV along with the series because the material is too inappropriate.
