Does anyone know how to download stuff in irc? I know how to use irc, but I don't know how to download in it. Could someone please respond, especially if their familiar with Mac OS X?

well, itīs better to search for a tutorial or something, since iīm not experienced with it. Still, will try. IRC is like a program that uses some commands like DOS. one of them is the !list command, using it you will obtain a list of the fservers (servers with files to be downloaded) if you want to download from one of that servers you have to type the trigger (itīs shown on the fserv info) Once you type the trigger, it will request for connection and then a window will be opened. Once you type the trigger you will be logged in the fserv. there you will have various usable commands (i guess you can type !commands and you will have a list of them), the most important ones are the one to show the list of files (i donīt remember it very well...) and the !get command. if you find the way to see the files hosted in the fserv, you can use ! get (+ the file name, just copy and paste it...) and then it will be supposed to get you queued in the download list, and then you only have to wait... pay attention to the slots available to download. itīs a little bit complex, and you have to have free time to do it and then to be patient to wait for the file... and sometimes you have to ask for permission before logging in the fserver... damn... i only tried it once... so i īwonīt be of much help...
