´When im playing a VCD with the VCD-Header trick in my DVD the picture is too slow and sound is incontinous...greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
I have created a VCD with the VCD-Header trick, and Im able to play it in my DVD-standalone with picture and sound, its just that the pictures moves slowly and the sounds are incontinous, its like it takes a very short brake after each frame (the frames arent running smoothly) - if you speed up it goes to fast... Anyone who knows what to do??? I use TMPGenc to encode, VirtualDub for the sound, and nero 5,5 to burn. My DVD-player is a panasonic DVD-RA61

I think I've seen this discussed in a forum at http://network54.com/Hide/Forum/70438. There are a couple of things that I think I remember could cause this. One is if you used TMPGenc to convert from NTSC to PAL (or vice-versa). The other is that you may have a field order problem when you encode the VCD. Try using the other field from what you encoded and it may fix it. I think TMPGenc defaults to top field first and that's not always correct. Did you actually create a SVCD? You don't need the header trick if you are making VCD. That's only for SVCD.
