I just saw the 27th .hack//sign and i don't understand what the point of it was, i was sort of mad that it didn't show or talk about the past character in real life. Can anyone explain this, please, what is the point of #27 ?????

I feel the same way you do, what was the point of it, OK we find out how Mimiru got in to the game so much, but still what did it have to do with the story. And what appens to Tsukasa! Bears told her that he would like to adopt her, when she logs out. Well did he? and what about the ending of 26, I though that it was just wrong! How could it end like that? Whats her name? shuts down the server, then pouf!!!! they are all out of the game?? So some1 help us by revealing the truth about this I for one would realy like to know. ty

I have the complete box set.. I didn't really pay attention to the Episode count and all, but I am pretty sure I know what your talking about..When all of a sudden the monster appears and *poof* the screen is black? Yah, I know... it made me mad to, but if you look more into it, its just a joke that the guys who made the anime, put in, If you notice, there is a PS2 Game, on this game there contains A episode of .Hack, or more known as .Hack//Infection, which completes the battle seen and so forth, there are 4 of these mysterious episodes, it would be nice if I could get ahold of, the various titles are .Hack//Mutation and so forth, these Episodes contain events taken place after the incendent, pertaining to "The World", but there is a counter part with it, an OVA, called .Hack//Liminality, which there are also 4 of, that show the effects of the other 4 episodes mentioned above, but in "The Real World"....THEN! there is .Hack//Dusk, or "The Legend of the Twilight Bracelet" which is a 12 episode series of events that take place 4 years after the .Hack//Sign series, its all very confusing, and in the end, the same thing happens , Kite and Blackrose race of with the Twilight Bracelet to shatter the "Last Trap" and then everything goes black, so I need to look more into it, but you get the just of it.

According to the .hack website, the timeline goes

.hack//SIGN .hack//LIMINALITY and .hack//games (they happen simultaniously) .hack//DUSK

it is a stupid marketing ploy to get the people who watched the anime buy the games, because they will complete the story

In .hack//MUTATION, you start seeing some of the anime characters, and in the last 2 games you do more with them and such, so it will work out

I think the first game is very hard though, perhaps I need to level up more, but I don't really go for action RPGs, and save points are so sparse

Maybe, just maybe, the anime was supposed to have gone deeper, but the producers had to cut it short since the deadline was too close or whatnot. They prolly jus ran outta time and made up a tacky ending jus to make the viewers happy. This entire .hack project is for makin money anyways, and so is everthing else.

Anou...you're all very confused. The official time line...

.hack//SIGN is completely separate from anything. .hack//liminality is the OVA that you get with each of the games, and it happens at the same time as the games. .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu(or Dusk as the ultra-lazy call it) takes place 4 years after the Twilight incident, which is the OVA and the game. This one has NOTHING to do with .hack//SIGN

I'm not sure about .hack//Al Buster, but I think it takes some time before the game or SIGN, as it is about a guy who tests The World before it releases, unless he's testing a new version. I don't think it has any inpact on any of the other .hack//things, so it doesn't even matter.

The purpose of .hack//SIGN 27 was just to make some more money. I think it was partly made rom the numerous requests that Bandai got for a Special explaining how some of the characters got into the game, and what happened to Tsukasa. I'd certainly like to know what happened to Tsukasa.
